Developing and optimizing complex, performance-critical applications is challenging, especially in the early design cycle when the target hardware is not yet available.

Virtual prototypes help getting products to market faster by providing unified hardware and software debug, as well as analysis across multiple teams and companies. This streamlined workflow helps to flush out early defects, even before RTL of all components becomes available.

During the demonstration, we will use a virtual prototype of an Arm Cortex-R8 based SSD controller platform, running a real storage device firmware stack.

In this joint Arm and Synopsys webinar, we will showcase the complete development flow including:

the creation of an accurate virtual prototype,
software bring-up and
joint hardware/software performance optimization.
